Hi Jack:

Just thought I would let you know that Liveupdate.com has been off-line
since at least the middle of November.  I see the name has been
purchased, but there is no response from the new owner of the name.

Too bad, since it was the #1 MIDI Player.  As pointed out in my
Crescendo articles, their demise was not unexpected.  In their heydays,
most users were using the Netscape Browser which required a MIDI plugin.
However, with the advent of the Browser and MEDIA wars, Internet
Explorer has come out on top and based on our own surveys, 75% of our
users are now with IE.  Since IE 5.5 all the media types, including
MIDI, have a built in player and Crescendo was no longer required.

I know you were a supporter of the affiliates program so thought I
should let you know that any links you have to Crescendo are now just
generating errors, as the site can not be reached.
