The Buckner Chamber Of Commerce, The Fort Osage Fire Protection District, and the City of Buckner felt it was time to make our presence known on the "WEB" (World Wide Web) and to provide a informational center for our community.
This project would include serious content about our community and a starting point for other links on the world wide web, as well as some fun items for casual enjoyment.
Snead's Safety Sales, a local business, already had several pages on the web and some knowledge about internet connections, designing web pages and the HTML coding language so they joined the project to help get things started.
The project is going well, however we need more information from everyone in the community so that the information can be added to the various pages within our site.

THERE'S LITTLE BOX'S ON SOME OF THE PAGES WITH A
X IN IT AND SAYS IMAGE . WHAT ARE THEY?
Most of our pages include pictures or animated images. If you are not seeing pictures you need to upgrade your computer to a Windows version, preferably Windows 95/98.
If you are on American On Line you will need to upgrade to AOL version 3.0 or later for animation.
Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0 or higher or Netscape version 3.0 or later are also highly recommended as your browser for maximum viewing & listening pleasure.
Sorry, the answer is no to this question. We are not a internet service provider or a web hosting service.
We are limited on space for our project pages, however we will provide a link to your page through one of our index links.
Your will need your own internet service provider, (ISP) and a host server. There are many ISP's that are providing free web space to their subscribers such as American On Line, Netcom, and Compuserve. There are also several local ISP's such as Sunflower and Discovery Net.
There are other services that are not ISP's but provide free web page space for non-commercial use such as Geo Cities, 100MEGS.com, Tripod, Angel Fire & Fortune City. As long as you have a ISP you can use these free web hosting sites to store your web pages.
There are also many professional hosting services for commercial accounts.

"all ages" see our Kids Page.
