Names

Man & Woman of the Year -2007

The Belton Lions club has a long tradition of naming a man and woman from our community as the Belton Lions Club Man and Woman of the Year.  A club committee is formed each year and accepts nominations from club members of those Belton residents who they feel have contributed greatly to the betterment of our community.

During the club's 2007 Club's Anniversary/Awards Dinner the club announced Dr. Robert Dyer and Mr. Elmer Larkey would share in the award of the Belton Lions Club as the Man of the Year for 2007and Ms. Glenda Stevenson as the 2007 Woman of the Year.

Dr Dyer's award was for his continued support of the Belton Lions Club vision program and mission to help children in the Belton School District; Mr. Larkey's award was for his continuous dedication and efforts to revitalize and improve Old Town Belton and Ms. Stevenson's award was for her kindness and generosity to veterans, elderly and the less fortunate in the community and her many volunteer hours in local civic organizations.

Each of our honorees have provided many hours of volunteer efforts to the improvement of our community.  They have given freely of their time and effort in helping  those in our community.

Congratulations to the honorees on their selection and for the many positive contributions they make to our community!
